FRANCE
TABAC - THE UNION OF AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES (FRANCE TABAC
U.S.C.A.)
The FRANCE
TABAC U.S.C.A. groups together 7 French tobacco cooperatives
to which all growers belong. Since the disappearance of the monopoly
during the 70s, its role consists in implementing and developing production
as well as marketing and partially processing tobacco varieties grown
in France. To meet this aim, the FRANCE TABAC set up its processing
plant in Sarlat, Dordogne in 1985.
In 1995, the FRANCE TABAC also created ANITTA,
the National Interprofessional and Technical Tobacco Association.
