Leaves are harvested individually depending on maturity, work
which demands great attention and is very labour-intensive.

the plants are harvested by the stalk.

which, on average, lasts 7 days.

8. The Burley is air-cured. The whole plants are hung in the
curing sheds for over 3 months and the leaves removed from the
stalks after the curing process is complete.
