THE AGRICULTURAL MUTUAL REINSURANCE FUND FOR TOBACCO GROWERS (CRMAPT)

The CRMAPT was founded in 1972. With the implementation of the common organization of markets in the raw tobacco sector by the European Community in 1970, French growers took over the responsibilities of Tobacco Mutual Funds.

With its 7 Regional Funds, the CRMAPT is responsible for insuring against differing types of climatic and disease risks associated and affecting tobacco growing and provides a safety-net for growers' incomes.
