THE NATIONAL INTERPROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL TOBACCO ASSOCIATION

The National Interprofessional and Technical Tobacco Association (ANITTA) is the sector's spearhead work unit anticipating and responding to inevitable evolutions in tobacco production: meeting consumer demand for a tobacco of quality which is increasingly focusing on health and environmental concerns whilst at the same time making sure that the sector is attractive for growers. A ceaseless challenge.

Based in Bergerac, ANITTA is also able to call on experimental regional sites and technical divisions of the French Cooperative network.

ANITTA's activities revolve around three major areas:

• coordination of national and regional experimentation,
• collection and processing of economic data and
• diffusion of information and know-how to technical divisions and growers.
